SPVD TCn
SPVD TCn coating has less internal stress, higher tenacity and good lubricant and wear risistance etc.
It is porper to the occasion of requiring low coefficient of friction and high hardness. Because SPVD TCn has lower coefficient of friction and higher hardness than TiN, the tools deposited SPVD TCn is more proper to cut hard materials like stainless steel, titanium alloy and nickel alloy. SPVD TCn coating has better wear resistance and stability at high temperature. Using SPVD TCn as main wear resistance coating of coated cutting tools can highly prolong the lifetime of cutting tools.
SPVD TCn coating is usually used on the cutting tools, forming tools and punching shears tools that need high speed cutting, high speed feeding and the blades are often impacted. But we should pay attention to the material and surface condition of the substrates, for example: SPVD TCn is not proper for the condition of high temperature, e.g. dry cutting of stainless steel.
